Intro

Ranged is a skill that will let you kill things from far away. You need some sort of bow and some sort of arrow.

Beginning

When you start you must use either a short bow or long bow. And you can only use bronze and iron arrows. Your bow must be equipped into your weapon slot and your arrows put in your quiver. You can attack from in front of your pray, or you can stop them form hitting you with an obstacle. This is the favored tactic, because it prevents damage (except form mages and other rangers). Some arrows will not be used and be on the ground. you can go get those while fighting or afterwards.

Weapons

There are different types of bows. Different ones do better than others, and they require higher ranged levels.

You can also use a crossbow. It is less accurate, but some people may prefer it.

Cannon

In order to use this you must have completed the Dwarf Cannon Test, and have bought all the parts for 750,000gp! This a ranged weapon that you just set up in a position and it starts shooting! This weapon can not be used in the wilderness. You must make the balls from steel. You can hold up to 20.
