Intro

Fletching is the interesting skill of making things that deal with range, for example arrows and bows. It can be a good way to make money. For this skill you will most defiantly need a knife, and probably an axe. You can find a knife in Seer's Village and south of Lumbridge. The axe you can find in stores. Please remember fletching is MEMBERS ONLY!

Arrows

Arrows are a nice thing, and necessary if you are a ranger. You will need your axe, and a knife. Go to a forest and cut normal trees. Once you have a bunch of logs use your knife on them. Select arrow shafts. They are stackable so you can keep doing this for a long time. Once you have all the shafts you need you will need feathers. You get feathers form killing chickens, or from buying them from players or the fishing store. You can use the feathers on the shafts to get headless arrows. Now you will need some smithing. You need some bars of some type. Doesn't really matter as long as you have the right smithing and fletching levels. Make your arrow heads. You get 15 per bar. Once you have those use them on the arrows and you get your arrows.

Bows

Bows are very easy to make. You only need logs, a knife, and bow strings. You can buy bow strings, or you can pick the flax, and use it on a spinning wheel yourself.

Bolts

You can't truly "make" bolts, but you can make special bolts. There are 3 special bolt types, opal, pearl, and barbed.

You can make them as follows:

Opal

Get opals, most likely from mining gem rocks in Shilo Village. Now use your chisel on the opal to make opal tips. Now use the tips on bolts that you have bought.

Pearl

Get pearls, probably from fishing oysters. It is hard to get a pearl in them, but it happens. Now use your chisel on the oyster with a pearl. Now use your chisel on the pearl. Use the tips on normal bolts.

Barbed

Go to the Rangers Guild and shoot the targets till you have 140 tickets. Now turn in the tickets for barbed tips. Now use the tips on bolts.

Darts

To make darts you must have done the tourist trap quest. You just need to smith some dart tips, then use feathers on them. Not too hard.
