Intro

Farming is a skill that allows you to grow food, and do a few other things. You can grow veggies, fruits, trees, HERBS, use hops to make your own ale! You can do MANY things with farming.

Seeds

In order for you to grow crops you need seeds! There are many way sot get seeds. You can steal them from the stall in the Draynor Village Market, from the Master Farmer in Draynor, kill monsters to get them , or buy them. Below is a list of seeds, and what level you need to grow them.

Tools

In order to far you need some tools. The most important tools are the following. Watering Can, Rake, seed dibber, and spade. Here is a list of all the tools and their uses. You can but most of the tools from the farming stores, but you CAN NOT buy the boots form the store. You can also get things like compost from the store.

Spade	Used to remove plants from patches, for harvesting, if they are dead, or remove roots
Watering Can	Waters your plants, so they will grow!
Seed Dibber	Needed in your inventory to plant seeds
Gardening trowel	For planting a tree seed into a pot
Secateurs	Used to cut away diseased branches from bushes and trees
Gardening Boots	Adds +1 to farming
Basket	Used to store up to 5 fruits.
Sack	Used to store up to 10 vegetables.
Plant Pot	Before you can plant a tree seed into the ground it has to grow first inside a pot so use the tree seed on a pot

Farming stores are located in the following places:

• North of Catherby
• North West of Port Phasmatys
• North of Ardougne
• South East of Falador

Compost

Compost is a very important thing to farming in RuneScape. Compost will help your crops grow well, and not get diseased. There are more than one type of compost. There is also Super Compost. I have also heard of rotten tomatoes. Below is the info on these.

Farming Locations

Below is a list of locations, and what sort of things you can grow there.

Allotments

On allotments you can grow veggies, fruits, and you have spaces for flowers and herbs. The flowers you grow can keep dieses away form your fruits and veggies. Also you can put a scarecrow in the flowers area to keep crows away from your corn. There is also ALWAYS a compost bin.

Hops

Hops are used to make different ales (beer). You will need to have barley when you go to make your ale so be sure you have that.

Trees

You can plant trees! You can plant oak trees and up. You can then cut them and stuff. If your tree gets diseased you need to use the secateurs on it. Once you chop the tree down you will see a stump. Use your spade ont he stump and you will get roots. Oak roots are used with an ale, and magic roots are for the Amulet of Nature.

Fruit Trees

You can grow fruit trees, yay. Umm ya......

Bushes

You can grow bushes now. They have some uses. Some of the berries you can use to make stronger poisons, I think.

Having the farmer take care of your plants

Yes the farmer will take care of your plants, but it will cost you! Below is a list.

Scarecrows

A scarecrow will protect your corn from birds. Here is how to make one:

1. Use an empty sack on a straw bale
2. Use the sack on a bronze spear
3. Use the spear on the watermelon
4. Use the scarecrow on the flower patch

Amulet of Nature

Amulets of nature help you keep track of one of your patches, you can only have one at a time. Below is how to make them.

1. Make an emerald amulet (don't put the string on it)
2. Use a spun magic root on the amulet
3. Use Lvl 2 enchant on the amulet

You now have your amulet!
